Tuesday in the Park with George. We visited Frick Park near the Blue Slide playground because I had hoped we could walk some streets in that area. You will know this was not the best plan for hitting streets if you have ever been to a playground with a three-year-old. I should have parked with streets between us and used it as a goal. As a parent, some lessons you have to learn over and over and over again. No streets were walked around the playground but plenty of fun was had.
Eventually I got him away from the park and we set off on his bike down into Frick Park. After about a quarter mile he claimed he was tired so we headed back. He proceeded to play for another 20 minutes. Conditional fatigue is a typical human malady that affects children much to their parents’ chagrin.
After Frick Park George requested a Grilled Cheese Sandwich. We got in the car and headed to Point Brugge Cafe in Point Breeze. The food was delicious and the company temperamental.
