September has proven to be absolutely beautiful for walking and I’m taking advantage of it. I parked in East Liberty and decided to walk some of the small streets I hadn’t gotten to yet. Despite what this graffiti said, it was not scary.
I was pretty excited when I got to walk on Woof Way even if no dogs barked at me when I did.
This castle on the corner of Stanton and N. Saint Clair was so majestic, I had to take pictures of it. The front of it says it’s Castle Stanton.
I’m not sure if the beauty of the castle affected me but soon after, I became very disoriented and thought these street signs were facing the wrong way.
I was so convinced they were wrong that I asked a man working on a house if they were. Luckily he wasn’t from around there so I didn’t seem like a complete idiot to him. Maybe I was low on electrolytes.
On Ryolite Way I found a boat out of water.
I also tried to make a kitty friend on Mathews Way but he was having none of that.
I was running out of time but I decided I could walk a quick section of Garfield before I had to leave. I headed up Columbo Street and walked past this school that was currently in session.
I found a “road” that wasn’t on any map.
As I walked by Kite Hill Park…
…I noticed that there were two marked roads that weren’t on the map. Laub Way and Oil Way. I am used to this by now but it still bugs me. When I got home, I was looking at the area on Google Maps and found a feature that was just added. You can now ADD MISSING ROADS! I added both of them and they now appear.
I am sure I will use this new feature whenever I can but I wish it would have been around when I first started navigating all of the streets of this city.
